Dr. Mulyoto Pangestu

Dr. Mulyoto Pangestu is a scientist in animal reproduction and reproductive technology. He teaches at Monash University in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a consultant for various IVF clinics in Indonesia. He is also actively collaborating in reproductive technology and fertility research with multiple universities in Indonesia and Australia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry from Jenderal Soedirman University. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees at Monash University with a focus on cryopreservation and dry biological storage. He received the Gold Award of Asia-Pacific Young Inventors in 2000 through his research on dry sperm storage techniques. This technique, known as evaporative drying, allows sperm to be stored at room temperature without liquid nitrogen.
