Dr. Muhammad Agil, DVM., M.Sc.Agr., Dipl. ACCM

Dr. Muhammad Agil is a lecturer at the Department of Reproductive Biology, School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedicine, IPB University. He received his Master of Science in Agriculture from the University of Goettingen and his Doctorate from the sandwich program of IPB with the German Primate Center. He is also active as a Veterinary Advisor at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary Foundation (SRS) in Indonesia. Since 1994, he has been actively researching the Sumatran rhinoceros. He has become one of the Indonesian veterinarians who has played the most role in efforts to conserve the Sumatran rhinoceros through a reproductive approach. He is also actively involved in developing Advanced Assisted Reproduction Technologies through a collaboration between Indonesia and the IZW (Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research) Freie Universität, Berlin.
