Dr. Susanne Holtze

Dr. SusanneHoltze is a postdoctoral scientist at Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (Leibniz-IZW) in Germany. She studied biology and earned a veterinary medicine degree at Freie Universität Berlin. She conducted her master’s thesis at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. As for her doctorate, she worked at Charité Berlin and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig.

Dr. Holtze has worked in the Department of Reproduction Management, headed by Prof. Thomas Hildebrandt’s group at the Leibniz-IZW, since 2012. Her research involves various animal species, with the main focus on understanding reproductive parameters. The practical applications of this knowledge aim to enhance the reproductive success of endangered species.
